Essential Skills for Montessori Assistants
About this workshop
Your role as a Montessori assistant is both meaningful and essential. Whether you are new to Montessori or have years of experience, this workshop offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding, strengthen your skills, and gain confidence for the year ahead.
We will explore practical strategies for supporting children through transitions, setting clear and respectful limits, fostering positive relationships, and encouraging learning and independence. Participants will also gain insights into preparing and maintaining the environment, collaborating effectively with the guide, and contributing to a calm, productive, and nurturing classroom.
While designed for Primary Assistants, this workshop will explore topics relevant across Montessori settings.
Designed for Primary Assistants; assistants working with children ages 0–3 and 6–12 are warmly welcome.
